DescriptionThis part of the session will include a panel discussion on developments and research directions in coupled earth system models. More specifically, we will invite climate and computational scientists to explore ideas about addressing current hurdles in improving the spatiotemporal consistency, accuracy, and scalability of climate models on the next-generation exascale computing platforms through better numerics, algorithms, and portable software implementations.
