Dr Jony Castagna obtained his PhD in 2010 and after a post-doc position at University of Southampton, he worked for a CFD company based in London. In 2016 he joined the STFC-Hartree Centre at Daresbury Laboratory as member of the High-Performance Software Engineering group. He ported several scientific applications to multi-GPU since then. In 2018 he got the NVidia Ambassador status from Deep Learning Institute, and he is now working on the FARSCAPE project, a collaboration between UKAEA and Hartree for plasma fusion research. His research activity is mainly in turbulent flow, HPC and Neural Networks for CFD.
